Good Afternoon, Everyone,

We hope you’ve had a great week!

On Thursday, we hosted a celebration assembly where our Grade 4’s shared some excellent learning they have engaged in about Space. We also kicked off our Jump Rope for Heart Campgain raising funds and awareness about the Heart and Stroke Foundation. You will find today a little postcard that will come home with a QR code for donations. (or you can click here). If you are able, please donate to our school campaign. Our goal is to raise $2000 for the foundation. The students will take part in heart-healthy activities like skipping over the next couple of weeks during their PE blocks, and we’ll have some great prizes to give away on our announcements throughout this time.

A big shout-out to our Grade 2 classes who attended the Telus World of Science this week. Experiential learning off-site creates such core memories for kiddos. We are thankful to our staff for planning this day and to the parents who were able to attend.

A final highlight, on Wednesday evening, we hosted our school council and fundraising society meeting at the school. We had a great group of parents attend! We tried something new this time by offering a hybrid option so that some parents could attend online, albeit with a few kinks for us to sort out for next time! Good learning for our team! During the meeting, we had some great dialogue about what was happening around the school, a report from our school board trustee, and dialogue around some fundraising initiatives. Thank you to our parents for their dedication.

Finally, tomorrow you can log into PowerSchool to see your child’s mid-year progress report. Teachers will have a PD day tomorrow as well.

Have a great weekend!

Warmly,

Mr. Coffin & Mrs. Kirton

Jump Rope

Jump Rope for Heart

Throughout February, our students are jumping into heart health with our Jump Rope for Heart campaign! Each class is taking part in fun activities that promote healthy hearts, strong minds, and active lifestyles. Together, we’re learning about healthy habits, giving back, and helping support life-saving heart and stroke research. Thank you for supporting our Robina Baker community!

Club Moo

Club Moo Program

A big thank you to all the parents who have ordered milk tickets for our Club Moo program! 🥛

Leadership students will be helping by fulfilling and delivering milk orders to each class (Kindergarten to Grade 4) at lunchtime every day.

Parents can purchase milk tickets through PowerSchool: 20 tickets (white or chocolate) for $20.

We hope to provide a 3-day turnaround. Thank you for your patience as we develop our Club Moo Program

How to use your tickets:

  • Send them all at once – Cut the tickets apart and return them in a baggie or envelope. They will be kept in your child’s reading bag, and your child can decide when to use them.
  • Send them as needed – Place one ticket in your child’s reading bag on the days you’d like them to have milk.
